Ingredients for making black tea with sage in middle-eastern bowls
  • Black tea of choice
  • Dried Sage leaves
  • Sugar (Optional)

I used some fresh sage leaves from the garden, which I dried for a couple of days by room temperature. You can also dry sage in the oven, or simply use a sage tea bag. Regarding black tea, I’d recommend using any tea you like. Darjeeling, gunpowder, or earl grey can taste delicious. I added some white rock sugar for some sweetness.

How to make black tea with sage:

Making black tea with sage is super simple. Add the sage leaves and tea to a tea bag, and infuse in hot water for about 4-5 minutes. Once steepened, take out the tea bag. Add sugar as desired, and enjoy! I like this tea to be somewhat sweet, like other chai!
