These strawberry banana ice cubes are super tasty and fruity! A fruit puree made from strawberries and bananas is topped with a lid of fresh strawberry. They also make a nice dessert for the little ones. They are easy to make and look great – a glass of water becomes a fancy drink. You will want to snack on these ice cubes before they melt away!
Ingredients for making Strawberry Banana Ice Cubes
- Strawberries
- Banana
Needed Equipment:
- Ice cube tray
My ice cube tray has 14 compartments and is 25cm (9,9inch) in length x 10cm (3,9inch) in width and 3,3cm (1,3inch) in height. It has a nice silicon bottom, making it easy to get the ice cubes out. You can, of course, also use a different tray.
How to make Strawberry Banana Ice Cubes:
Cut off the top third of the washed strawberries to cover the fruit puree in the end. Leave the green stalk on. They are great for handling the ice cube later and look nice. Now, put the other bits of strawberry in a blender, add a ripe sliced banana, and puree it.
Pour the fruit mousse into the ice cube mold, but don’t fill the compartments to the brim, as our little strawberry lid comes still on top!
Once all the compartments are decorated with the strawberry lid, place it in the freezer. After about 24 hours, the ice cubes are ready to be served. They make tasty additions to tonics, sodas, or simple sparkling water.
