Ingredients for making Strawberry Banana Ice Cubes

  • Strawberries
  • Banana

Needed Equipment:

  • Ice cube tray

My ice cube tray has 14 compartments and is 25cm (9,9inch) in length x 10cm (3,9inch) in width and 3,3cm (1,3inch) in height. It has a nice silicon bottom, making it easy to get the ice cubes out. You can, of course, also use a different tray.

Prepared ice cube mold for strawberry-banana fruit ice cubes stands on a light blue wooden underground. Behind the mold there are a banana and some strawberries.

How to make Strawberry Banana Ice Cubes:

Cut off the top third of the washed strawberries to cover the fruit puree in the end. Leave the green stalk on. They are great for handling the ice cube later and look nice. Now, put the other bits of strawberry in a blender, add a ripe sliced banana, and puree it.

An ice cube mold is filled by a spoon with fruit puree. Next to the mold stands a green bowl with strawberry cuttings, some of the cuttings are lying in the foreground.

Pour the fruit mousse into the ice cube mold, but don’t fill the compartments to the brim, as our little strawberry lid comes still on top!

A hand places the strawberry cuttings on the filled ice cube mold.

Once all the compartments are decorated with the strawberry lid, place it in the freezer. After about 24 hours, the ice cubes are ready to be served. They make tasty additions to tonics, sodas, or simple sparkling water.
