This falafel wrap recipe got to be my favourite way of having falafel.  They make falafel a super nutritious, filling and delicious meal. These falafel wraps combine a mix of fresh vegetables, crispy falafel and dressing. They are simple to make, and super satisfying to eat!

  • Total Time: 50
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

16 falafel

1 romaine lettuce

4 pita wraps

2 tomatoes

1/3 cucumber

1/2 lemon

4 tbsp pickle of choice

3tbsp soy yoghurt

3tbsp tahini

salt to season

Optional additions: Muhammara, tabbouleh, pomegranate seeds, hummus, crispy fried pita bread, hot sauce, parsley

Instructions

Prepare your falalel. I have a recipe on how to make falafel here. We want them to be nice and fresh for these wraps.

Dice your veggies. If the cucumber has a lot of seeds, you might want to get rid of them by taking them out with a teaspoon. Mix all the vegetables in a bowl and season lightly with some salt.

Mix the tahini and soy yoghurt with lemon juice and some salt. Whisk the ingredients until well combined. If you want to thin the sauce, mix in a few spoonfuls of water.

Heat your falafel and pita bread.

Add 3-4 falafel per wrap. Gently press the falafel to break them up just a bit. Add a generous touch of tahini yoghurt dressing, followed by veggies and pickles. Now it’s time to add any other ingredients you like to have to your falafel wrap.

Roll the falafel into a nice and tight wrap. You can use some tin foil to keep everything in place. Finish the falafel by topping it with a spoonful of delicious hummus, and that’s it!
