This sweet rice porridge is a comforting recipe to mix up your breakfast routine! It is super easy to prepare and tastes fantastic. Almond butter and banana make this porridge a feast.

Ingredients

400g red rice

2 bananas

120ml maple syrup

3 tbsp jam (i used red currant jam)

150g almond butter

100g almonds

1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Wash the rice thoroughly. Add the washed rice to a pot, add boiling water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the temperature and bring the pot to a simmer. Cook the rice for about 40 minutes.

Peel the banana and cut it into pieces. Carefully toast the almonds in a pan on medium heat, and set aside for garnishing.

Once the rice is soft, take it from the heat. Add some maple syrup and cinnamon to the rice.

Garnish the rice porridge with the remaining toppings. Add banana slices, toasted almonds, almond butter, jam, a pinch of cinnamon, and the remaining maple syrup.
